US Open Q’s

For the 2014 season VGE is happy to announce the special invites from BURTON for the US OPEN Qualifiers event in Seven Springs, PA on January 31st-February 2nd. VGE philosophy is to give back to the community with prizes and opportunities you cant find at another contest. If you missed out on the registration deadline, or you’re having a hard time getting to Seven Springs, we made this contest for you.

We collected dozens of videos and had a tough time deciding who would take the invites. In the end we awarded two slope style invites to Jed Sky and Molly Wilson.  Congrats to these two hard working individuals.

Jed Sky put it like this: “I tried registering online and still hadn’t got in, and saw the video competition as a great opportunity to get in. When I found out I won, I couldn’t have been more stoked! I packed my bags, and went to the event”

Molly Willson said “I had initially not been accepted into the competition, so to have a contest that gives you a second chance is really great. Thank you to VGE, their sponsors, and anyone who made it possible for me to compete at the US Open Qualifiers in Seven Springs, PA. It was a fun trip and a good experience.”

Jed says its as easy as this, “I went out and filmed a couple of tricks that I thought would be good to have in my edit. Then I sat down and starting putting some clips together. I liked the way it started out, but I needed some jump shots. I looked through some older shots and found some that I really liked. Then, I edited it so it would fit the requirements of being 60 seconds long and put a fast paced song to it. I put it up online and asked for some likes on my Facebook hoping it would do well. ”

It doesn’t matter if its this years or last years, filmed by a pro, or filmed by your dad… send it in for your chance to win!
